In the late 19th century, the Burrows family established a massive footprint in Picture Rocks as manufacturers of chamber furniture, sideboards, and cottage bedroom suites. Their factory and extensive general store served as the primary leading industry sustaining the local town.

During the Victorian era, "cottage chamber furniture" referred to factory-produced, affordable bedroom sets (chambers) made of local pine or poplar. These sets were famously painted, decorated with stenciled floral accents, or faux-grained to appeal to middle-class homes and vacation cottages.

The fancy killer on this cover is a striking little design. A perfect "X" formed by four triangles, their tips pointing to the center making their flat sides align to form a square. Some collectors call killers like this a "crossroads" cancel. We see so much more.
