Gavitt's Medical Co. was a prominent "patent medicine" company headquartered in Topeka, Kansas, which operated a vast network of local agents across Missouri and the United States. Gavitt's was best known for "Gavitt's System Regulator," an herbal laxative and "cure-all" elixir.
