Utica, NY - oval town postmark and fancy scrolled paid marking in red - 1841

32 x 25mm 2-ring oval with open fleurons and stamped date in the center. Accompanied by a two-circle Roman numeral "V" paid marking. Both in red. The sript rate marking is the for the rate of 18 3/4 cents. Full page of content, essentially chit-chat; how is everyone, thanks for hosting me, etc. Written by a student attending the "Utica Female Academy."
