The post office in Yarrow, Missouri, was a small but vital rural station in Adair County, located south of Kirksville near the banks of the Chariton River. It was established in 1900 during a period of local growth driven by the nearby coal mining and timber industries. The office was closed on October 31, 1955. The most famous landmark remaining in the area is the Yarrow Bridge and the Yarrow Cemetery.
