MO DPO - Sedgewick - 1894 - Docking on left by the postmaster

A post office named Sedgwick was established in 1874. The community was named in honor of John Sedgwick, a notable Union Army officer during the American Civil War. This post office remained in operation for nearly 30 years before being discontinued in 1903.
