The post office in Reeds, Missouri, located in Jasper County, was established in the late 19th century and served as a vital link for this small agricultural and mining community near the Sarcoxie area. Ir was closed in 2009. Today, Reeds is an incorporated village situated on Route 96 (formerly the historic Route 66 corridor), about halfway between Carthage and Sarcoxie.
