The De Bruin post office in Pulaski County had a relatively short and quiet life compared to the river town of Tully. The post office closed permanently in 1883, with mail services likely transferred to nearby Waynesville or Hancock. Today, the site of the original inn (and by extension, the area of the old post office) is a private farm home, reportedly sitting on the original 19th-century foundation.
