The post office in Champion City, Missouri (located in Franklin County) was a rural facility that served as the commercial center for a tight-knit German-American agricultural community for over 50 years. Champion City is now considered an extinct town or "ghost village." The name survives through the Champion City Cemetery and the Champion City Road signage.
