The post office in Brushy Knob, Missouri (Douglas County) was a long-lived rural station that served as a vital community link in the heart of the Ozarks for nearly 70 years. Brushy Knob is now considered an unincorporated community or extinct town. While the post office is gone, the name is still used by locals to describe the general geographic area along Highway 14. The Brushy Knob Church and Brushy Knob Cemetery remain as the primary physical markers of the community's heritage.

Established: 1888 - Discontinued: 1957
