Milledgeville, GA postmark on a CSA11 - Adversity cover

$74.99Price

How do we know this is an adversity cover? Two readily apparent tells in the photos - #1 the envelope is far from square - #2 The back flaps are not lined up squarely. Had the fold at the lower right had been creased just a little higher or the fold at the lower left had been creased a little lower, it would have been square. Reason #3 is how it feels in hand. But you won't know that until you have it in hand. We can make that happen and give you a great price at the same time.

Milledgeville served as Georgia’s Civil War capital from 1861 to 1865. In November 1864, it became a major focal point of General William T. Sherman's March to the Sea. Union troops occupied the city, looted supplies, held a mock legislative session repealing the Ordinance of Secession, and left notable stories behind.
