The Van Trent post office in Placer County, California, was a short-lived facility established to serve the Dairy Farm Mine community during the copper mining boom of the early 20th century. The post office officially opened in 1904 to serve the growing mining settlement. Operations were discontinued in 1915 as the mining activity in the area began to decline.
