A starter collection of "Chicago Blues" fancy killers - 12 blue, 1 black
I (Jeff A) bought this collection a while back because I thought I'd try collecting these in addition to my NY fancys, 1847-68. Honestly, they are excellent killers on cover from the same Chicago company, "W. W. Kimball Pianos and Organs." Of the 13 covers, only 3 have no content. The others contain receipts with several different designs. The engraving for them is spectacular. (please see photos)
But wait! There's more! I am including a near-new 1992 edition of Paul K. Bergs catalog, "Chicago Blue Postal Markings -- 1870-1877." It is autographed by Berg to John Wright.
Please browse all the photos and you will see what an opportunity this sale is to purchase the necessary items to begin what will surely be a rewarding US Postal History specialty.
