A splendid Boston "PAID" in a circular grid- 1859

The Boston postmark here is a very fine, full-date (SEP 24 1859) handstamped with red ink. The killer, also very fine, was another handstamp used to "kill" the stamp and likely applied by the last clerk before it went into the Massachusetts bag.

The cover is a wrapper for a folded letter and in excellent condition. There is minor "bleaching" along the right edge and into the corner, but it does not detract from the appeal of the cover. It's going to look very nice in your "Boston Binder."
