A very nice duplex handstamp from Station A of the New York City postal network of the late 19th century. Envelope from the St. Nicholas Hotel. In 1880, the St. Nicholas Hotel was in its final years of operation as one of New York City's most legendary luxury landmarks. Located on Broadway between Spring and Broome Streets in today’s SoHo, it was the first building in the city to cost over $1 million to construct.
